Magic Fruits
I've been eating a lot of yoghurt recently. Here's an experemedial scraggy guffed-up sketchbook drawing that could really have done with some g. fructis pixel care.. better planned expeditions into the Kingdoms of Gif to come.

Sports Criminals
I put my back out last week, so have been confined to the sofa, getting lots of doodles done, and watching lots of TV, even some of this Olympics stuff. So, here is my tribute to everyone's favourite athletic characters, the sports criminals, with their shady-but-loveable illegal moves and dodgy time-trial-based schemes.*
Before my back went, I was also hard at work building a new much-improved Peanut Snake website, which has reminded me of my vow (from about four years ago) to take over the world with GIFs, so I've uploaded a little test one to the Snake tumblr here. I've started off slowly, but they will get sickeningly, nauseatingly faster.
* Legal disclaimer - any resemblance to any actual athletic persons is entirely unintentional/accidental - seriously, I only really watched the tennis for about thirty minutes, and I don't actually know what any of the other ones look like.

Foredrawn

Some pen&ink CD-insert doodles I found on my hard-drive.. I guess these might have gone in the Sweet Lion version of Sea Mountain Songs or something. Clearly, at least one of them is in an asian Stone Roses tribute band (?), so seemed like a good moment to upload..

Monochromatic Orbs

Came across this collage I made for Ishihara 3 (or maybe 11? Either way, I don't think it ever made it to the exhibition..) pretty much ages ago. Perhaps it would work as an advertising image in some corporate zorbing literature.

Teabroken

I got a job on the till in a supermarket. Fifteen years after my first ever job I'm back where I started - perhaps I'll just start my CV afresh? At least that way I won't have to go onto three sides of paper (which has been worrying me recently).
Anyway, today was my first full day on the job, and I drew this while on a break in the canteen, which is a bit like a featureless grey, metallic, underground bunker, except with at least two copies of the same day's issue of The Sun to read.
Pray for me..

Sketch Boggin'

I ran off a second issue of my Sketch Bog doodle zine for Haarfest. More ambitious than issue 1, with 28 pages, and enough negative images that the Co-op will subsequently have had to order a new toner cartridge (oops!).
All twenty-odd copies are now gone (I think).. but thinking of putting together another issue soon, so drop me a line, or keep an eye here if you'd like to grab one next time. I might even just re-do the first two issues with different pictures, to appease any completists!
Dan from Withered Hand's wife has since been quoted as saying of Sketch Bog issue 2, "that little book you left in the loo is one of the weirdest zines i have ever seen."
